Margherita Ruoppolo Margherita Ruoppolo obtained a degree in Chemistry nel 1990 and PhD. in Chemical Sciences in 1997 at the University of Naples “Federico II”. In 1993-1994 she carried out research at the Biological Laboratory, University of Kent, Canterbury, UK. In 1998 she carried out research at the Unite de Biochemie, Institute Pasteur Paris, France.
She started her academic carrier in 1996 as Research Assistant of Biochemistry (SSD BIO-10 “Biochimica”) at the Department of Chemistry, University of Salerno. In 2001- she moved as Associate Professor of Biochemistry at Department of Biochemistry and Medical Biotechnology, University of Naples, Federico II. From 2007-to date she is full professor of Biochemistry at Department of Molecular medicine and Medical Biotechnology, University of Naples, Federico II.
From 2003 to date she is the head of the laboratory Screening of inborn errors of metabolism at AOU, University of Naples, Federico II She teaches Human Biochemystry, Proteomics and Metabolomics at the Medical school, University of Naples, Federico II.
The scientific activity of Margherita Ruoppolo has been mainly devoted to the structural characterization of proteins and metabolites. 63 articles and reviews have been published in international specialised journals.
